Alchemical Vessels 2018: OUR COMMON THREAD
Please join Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery and Smith Center for Healing and the Arts to celebrate our annual ALCHEMICAL VESSELS benefit and exhibition, now in its 6th year!
This year’s show is based on the theme: OUR COMMON THREAD – 128 artists will create a unique piece of art from a simple circular panel, responding to the artist’s personal, transformational, creative journey through the universal truths of pain, joy healing and living.
Every purchase of a benefit ticket supports Smith Center for Healing and the Arts and our mission to develop and promote healing practices that explore physical, emotional, and mental wellness and lead to life-affirming changes to those affected by cancer.
Ticket sales go live at 10:00 am on Thursday March 1, 2018. Go to: https://www.joanhisaokagallery.org/ to purchase tickets.
Exhibition opens on Friday, March 16, 2018, 7:00-9:00pm.
Alchemical Vessels benefit is Friday April 27, 7:00-10:00pm.
This year’s benefit will be conducted as follows:
$300 “PREMIER” ticket 1-20 – Guaranteed purchase of a top 20 vessel. These tickets are on a first come, first served basis until we reach 20.
$175 “STANDARD BENEFIT” ticket 21-126 – These tickets assure purchase of a vessel after “premier” ticket holders have made their selections. These tickets will go into a LOTTERY system, where random numbers will be chosen during the night of the benefit.
$50 “BENEFIT ONLY” ticket – This allows the purchaser to attend the benefit event only without the purchase of a vessel.
Artists will be posting their works in progress on this event page!
