7th Annual Alchemical Vessels
The Transformative Power of the Written Word
Friday, May 3rd, 7:00 PM
Please join Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery and Smith Center for Healing and the Arts for a night of food, music and libation to celebrate our annual exhibition and fundraiser, Alchemical Vessels, now in our 7th year! This year’s show is based on the theme: The Transformative Power of the Written Word – inspired by Smith Center’s Cancer Support Programs community. We have selected written pieces authored by Smith Center participants over the years, from which 100 artists have been asked to respond to create their vessel.
A purchase of a Standard Benefit ticket for only $175 allows you to choose one of these amazing works to have for your very own!
Your generous purchase of a premier or standard benefit ticket allows you to own a unique piece of art from some of the finest artists in the DMV. Enjoy a lovely night of music and food, and all proceeds help fund Smith Center for Healing and the Arts, the only independent cancer support center based in Washington, DC. Our mission is to develop and promote healing practices that explore physical, emotional, and mental wellness and lead to life-affirming changes to those affected by cancer.
